Job Summary
Provide direct outpatient patient care in an OB/GYN clinical setting, performing ambulatory gynecologic procedures including IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, and LEEP procedures. Conduct comprehensive health appraisals through histories and physical examinations, prescribe medications, and interpret laboratory tests and imaging. Evaluate patients to determine further care needs, document all care and education in medical records, and refer to other disciplines as appropriate. Mentor graduate students, participate in quality improvement and research initiatives, and serve as a patient advocate while maintaining required certifications and continuing education. Schedule: M-F, days.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois
- Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (issued by the American Heart Association) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Controlled substance license and DEA registration
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of direct office experience in Women's Health and running an independent schedule
