Nurse Practitioner - OB/GYN

Evaluate and order laboratory and diagnostic tests, review and interpret results with clients, and refer abnormal findings to case managers. Assess referral needs to other providers, educate patients on healthcare decisions, and participate in constant labor and delivery coverage. Exercise clinical judgment in triage, act as a stand-by for unattended private deliveries, and serve as a Cesarean section first assist. Complete post-partum rounds, discharges, and billing slips, while collaborating with physicians and attending department meetings. Supervise Nurse-Midwifery students and residents during clinical rotations.
