Job Summary
Outpatient-focused Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Surgical Oncology (HPB Division) at Banner University Medical Center Tucson. Join a team of 5 surgical oncologists treating complex liver, pancreas, and biliary diseases with emphasis on continuity of care from diagnosis through post-operative follow-up. Primary focus is outpatient care with some inpatient responsibilities (one inpatient day per week); ability to cross-cover both roles on the team. Responsibilities include managing outpatient clinical care, facilitating transitions between hospital and outpatient settings, performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures (e.g., drain removal, wound care), interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, collaborating with surgeons and nurses, and participating in patient education, consultation, and research. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Requirements include current board certification, DEA license, BLS, and a graduate ACNP degree; oncology experience is preferred but not required. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5 days, 8-hour shifts.
