Job Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner in hospice care, you will provide medical care, manage terminal illnesses, and support patients and their families with compassion. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, developing individualized care plans, prescribing medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality hospice services. Candidates should hold a master's degree in nursing, possess current nursing licensure, and have experience in hospice or palliative care.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Must have current nursing licensure in State
- Must have a master's degree with a minimum of one (1) year Nurse Practitioner experience
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year hospice or palliative care experience
- Must have accreditation from an approved certifying body for advanced practice nursing as required by the State
- Must be a licensed driver with licensed automobile that is insured in accordance with organization/state requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in a specialist area preferred; (e.g. Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN), Pediatrics or Geriatrics)
