Job Summary
Conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Redding, CA, reviewing medical history documentation and capturing responses via web-based forms. Perform standard exams including musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory assessments, and order ancillaries such as X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, and ABIs when necessary. Submit completed exams electronically to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations. Maintain active, unrestricted licensure and BLS certification while working independently or as part of a team. This role supports Matrix Providers' mission to assist veterans with compensation and pension determinations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of your employment.
- Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during the duration of their employment.
- Have a master's degree or successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant Program.
- Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
