Job Summary
Conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams for veterans in Grand Junction, CO, reviewing medical history documentation and capturing responses via web-based forms. Perform standard exams including musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory assessments, while ordering and conducting ancillaries such as X-rays, labs, EKGs, and PFTs on location or nearby. Submit completed exams electronically to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations. Maintain active NP or PA licensure, NCCPA certification (for PAs), and BLS certification. Work part-time Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 4:00pm at an hourly rate of $55.00–$58.59. Ensure appropriate gender representation for patients requesting same-gender staff and adhere to CDC vaccination guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of your employment.
- Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during the duration of their employment.
- Have a master's degree or successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
