Job Summary
Clinic-based NP/PA Primary Care role at the Vanderbilt location within CVS MinuteClinic. Deliver in-person and virtual primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Provide both in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient outcomes; perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, vaccination administration, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals. Contribute to essential clinic operations (inventory, opening/closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection); practice at the top of your license with strong clinical support and collaborative resources. Requires Master’s degree (NP or PA) and current certification/licensure; DOT and BLS certifications; ability to obtain multi-state licensure; weekend/every-other-weekend scheduling; DOT within 30 days; ability to work in EPIC; physical presence at the clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited NP program (Nurse Practitioner) or Master of Science in Physician Assistant/PA studies for Physician Assistants
- Active national board certification (AANP or ANCC) for NPs or NCCPA certification for PAs
- Active, unrestricted state APRN license (NP) or PA license
- Ability to obtain and maintain multi-state licensure per business needs
- Ability to order/administer vaccines and injections (COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, etc.)
- DOT certification exam completed within 30 days of employment
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Physical presence at assigned clinic
- Ability to pass a respirator FIT test
- Experience or ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices
- Experience with or ability to work in EPIC electronic health record system
- Prior MinuteClinic clinical experience or precepting rotation preferred but not required
- Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs
