Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic pain conditions through comprehensive physical examinations, medical history taking, and diagnostic testing interpretation. Prescribe medications within state guidelines and perform procedures including injections, wound care, suturing, and infection management while educating patients on treatment plans and wellness. Collaborate with physicians on complex cases, monitor patient progress to adjust care plans, and maintain accurate medical documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other assigned duties within a collaborative outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Current Iowa Nurse Practitioner license
- Current unrestricted DEA license
- BCLS certification
- Ability to maintain continuing education and certification requirements
- Strong computer and documentation skills
