Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology) – Full-time position with CHRISTUS Abdominal Specialists; provides medical or surgical care, conducts history/examinations, prescribes medications and therapies, collaborates with health care team, educates patients and families, and maintains confidential records. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating acute and chronic GI conditions, planning and evaluating treatment, ordering studies and consultations, and practicing within advanced specialty scope; demonstrates critical thinking, independence and collaboration, and participates in research and professional development. Work schedule 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday; Corpus Christi, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Nursing Degree or Master's Degree required.
- Current Texas State Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR), American Heart Association.
