Job Summary
Perform comprehensive physical exams and wound assessments for patients with acute and chronic conditions, including debridement and dressing changes per clinical best practices. Evaluate wound-related conditions and comorbidities to support optimal healing outcomes while developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the Medical Director. Accurately document patient encounters and procedures in the EMR within 24 hours and educate patients on wound care and chronic condition management. Communicate effectively with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining compliance with CMS guidelines and safety standards. Maintain licensure and pursue ongoing education in wound care. This part-time role offers a collaborative environment with full malpractice insurance coverage, a collaborating physician, and equipment provided.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in applicable state(s)
- Clinical experience in wound care or a related specialty preferred but will train
- Strong skills in debridement, and care planning
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
