Job Summary
Conduct physical examinations, interpret lab tests and X-rays, and diagnose health conditions for compromised residents in a skilled nursing facility. Prescribe medications for chronic and infectious diseases while maintaining accurate records and overseeing patients' overall health. Educate patients and families on disease prevention and advance professional knowledge through research and clinical discourse. Supervise and mentor a team of nurse practitioners, lead meetings, and refine workflows and protocols. Provide coverage at other Florida facilities when needed, including occasional in-state travel.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility
- minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Valid nurse practitioner license
- Provide coverage at other Florida facilities when needed
- occasional in-state travel
