Job Summary
Nurse Practitioners (NP) to support the Ventura Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Responsibilities include executing position responsibilities independently and with the medical staff, addressing disease prevention and health promotion, advanced assessment and decision-making, documenting care and evaluations in CPRS/POE, following clinical guidelines, completing health histories, diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues, and selecting or prescribing pharmacological agents and durable medical equipment. Qualifications include an active U.S. license, CPR and BLS certifications, a CV detailing education/qualifications, at least one year of direct patient care in the last three years, TB/rubella/immunization readiness, computer literacy, and no sponsorship. Schedule subject to change; multiple shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by an American Health Association Vendor.
- Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- A current curriculum vitae (cv) which identifies the provider's education and professional qualifications commensurate with the position or specialty for which they are being offered to perform.
- A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- Be current on tuberculosis testing, rubella testing, and all immunizations prior to performing services.
- Have no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the performance of duties.
- Have the knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently in the course of the duties and responsibilities.
