Job Summary
Provide comprehensive primary care, including physical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic illnesses. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures as applicable. Educate patients on wellness strategies, maintain accurate electronic health records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team. Address social determinants of health and refer patients to community resources while ensuring compliance with Rural Health Clinic regulations. Work 12-hour shifts with one weekend off every five weekends, with no holidays. Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing, current Illinois NP license, DEA registration, and 1–2 years of primary care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current and unrestricted NP license in the state of Illinois
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient population
- 12 Hour Shifts
- 1 Weekend, every 5th weekend. Weekend shifts are 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- No Holidays

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of primary care experience preferred
- National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) preferred
- Strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and a commitment to rural health
- new graduates with rural/underserved experience considered
