Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner (Neurology) provides outpatient primary health care services for neurology patients under supervision, prescribing medications and referrals, maintaining electronic health records, ensuring timely medical services, training medical students and staff, and contributing to quality improvements. Requires a Masters in an NP/PA program, Texas mid-level license, DEA, BLS, and board certification (AANP/ANCC). Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred. On-site in San Antonio, TX with standard clinic activities, collaboration with the Director of Neurology, and responsibilities including patient exams, diagnoses, treatment, referrals, and adherence to clinic policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
- Board Certified AANP, ANCC or related
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Family Medicine
- Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a mid-level (NP/PA) in the State of Texas
- Must be registered and have current DEA
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
