Job Summary
Provide neurology-focused NP care, including performing patient examinations, developing care plans, and treating minor illnesses per established protocols. Order non-invasive diagnostic tests (lab, x-ray), collaborate with supervising physicians, and prescribe medications within scope with oversight. Instruct patients and families on health maintenance and prevention, tailored to age, psychosocial, and cultural needs. Travel for training to the Chicagoland area initially, then work primarily in South Bend, IN. Requires strong analytical, patient interaction, and documentation skills; includes education and coordination with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- National certification in the applicable specialty (ANCC)
- Current state licensure as Nurse Practitioner and RN
- Maintains current CPR (BLS) certification
- Active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License may be required based on prescriptive authority
