Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal

Job Summary
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, and obstetricians to guide the care of high-risk neonates and infants across Level III and Level IV NICU settings. Provide autonomous clinical decision-making and technical procedural skills while conducting daily rounds on service patients. Support nursing staff through ongoing education and lead patient care projects that integrate medical management and family-centered discharge planning. Attend deliveries in person at medical centers and via telehealth platforms at Level I nursery sites to ensure consistent resuscitation coverage. Requires current NNP licensure with prescriptive privileges, Level III NICU experience, and NRP instructor certification.
Required Qualifications
- As required by licensure
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an NICU Staff Nurse
- Level III preferred
- Current applicable state RN license
- National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
- Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certification
- Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of ECMO certification course
