Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner provides advanced health assessments, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, diagnoses illnesses within NP scope, prescribes medications and therapies, and collaborates with the health-care team to deliver comprehensive care. The role involves autonomous practice with collaboration, documentation in EMR, health promotion and prevention, and ongoing professional development; requires graduate nursing education, NP certification, and active CRNA registration, with 3–5 years preferred in acute/high-volume settings. Occasional evenings/weekends; Calgary, AB site; full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Nurse Practitioner Certificate in the Family/All Ages designation
- Active registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- BLS (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)
