Job Summary
Deliver full-range, outcome-based nurse practitioner services at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Honolulu, HI, including screening, examinations, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment of routine, acute, and chronic conditions across organ systems; provision of medical management, history and physicals, labs and diagnostic studies, and initiation of therapeutic plans; supervision and education of staff; preventive care and health maintenance counseling; collaboration with a diverse healthcare team; and coordination of care within the privileged practice framework. Credentialing and security requirements include DHA health prerequisites, immunizations, annual influenza vaccination, TB screening, a physical, and complete credentialing package. Requires a Master’s degree in Nursing, BLS, NP certification, active RN license, and US citizenship. The role is in-person at TAMC locations in Hawaii with no telework authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area (ANCC/AANP or recognized national nursing certification organization)
- One (1) or more years of professional nursing experience including ordering medications and treatments, staff education, and initiating therapeutic plans
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- U.S. Citizen
