Job Summary
Conduct medical records reviews against USSS standards to determine appropriate medical status and construct clinical evaluation reports. Perform initial work-ups, including laboratory draws, EKGs, and vital sign checks, while determining needs for further diagnostic procedures. Provide expert leadership on Occupational Health program requirements to internal and external stakeholders, serving as the agency liaison for medical treatment and case management inquiries from USSS leadership and federal agencies. Maintain knowledge of OSHA standards and legal aspects of patient care within a law enforcement environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree for a Nurse Practitioner certification/degree and license
- Licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner
- Knowledgeable of medical and legal aspects of patient care in a law enforcement work environment
- Experience in occupational medicine
- Ability to apply Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards to control hazards and recognize resulting conditions
