Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner IV - Behavioral Health provides medical and psychological patient care, develops individualized treatment plans, prescribes immunizations, and collaborates with physicians to ensure continuous patient care. The role requires leadership and mentoring of staff, commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance, participation in on-call/weekend duties, adherence to infection control and safety standards, and utilization of Lean principles to improve department operations. The position includes travel locally between Excela Health locations and requires licensure as an NP in Pennsylvania, CRNP prescriptive authority, DEA registration, BLS, and PA Act 153 clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with prescriptive authority
- Current DEA registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- PA Act 153 Clearance
