Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine providing comprehensive primary care in an outpatient academic clinic. Collaborates with attending physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care to adults. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, ongoing management of acute/chronic conditions, ordering/interpretation of diagnostics, preventive care, and patient education. Involves participation in interdisciplinary quality improvement initiatives, documentation in the EMR, and potential to precept NP students; opportunities to engage in teaching and academic activities. Requires NY NP license and experience in primary care/internal medicine; competitive benefits and incentive opportunities offered.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State
- Prior experience in primary care or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Interest in academic practice, teaching, and collaborative care models
