Job Summary
Conduct clinical management of patients, perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and interpret diagnostic tests in an outpatient cardiology clinic. Prescribe medications, provide patient education, and engage in consultation and research while working autonomously alongside physicians and clinicians. Manage a daily caseload of 15-20 patients across 4-10-hour shifts from Monday through Friday with no call. Operate within a single-location academic campus offering immediate access to on-site advanced imaging, lab, pharmacy, and providers across 11 specialties, including resident and fellow trainees.
Required Qualifications
- One-year NP experience in Cardiology/Critical Care training and experience
- Current Board Certification
- Current Arizona License
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances
- Detail-oriented
- Dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work with physicians and other clinicians along the continuum in a team approach to patient care
