Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with chronic pain using a multidisciplinary approach, including injection therapies, medication management, and ordering diagnostic testing, with collaboration to consult surgical colleagues as needed. Works on-site Monday–Friday during daytime hours, providing leadership and mentorship to new hires/students, while demonstrating accountability, problem-solving, and advocacy for patients. Responsible for completing competency requirements, ensuring patient safety and adherence to infection control and National Patient Safety Goals, participating in performance-improvement activities, and utilizing LEAN principles to improve departmental efficiency. In collaboration with supervising physicians, conducts clinical evaluations, adjusts medications as indicated, educates patients/families, and documents in the medical record; acts as a resource and educator within the team and supports ongoing care coordination and outcome management.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or equivalent
- Active NP license in Pennsylvania
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, ANP, or appropriate specialty)
- Clinical experience in pain management or related field
- Ability to perform clinical procedures appropriate to NP scope
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with patient education and care coordination
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety standards
- LEAN or process-improvement familiarity preferred
