Job Summary

Coordinate and manage care for pre/post-transplant patients undergoing liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants while collaborating with surgeons, physicians, and nurses to ensure thorough evaluation processes. Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and post-operative care, and participate in research and quality improvement initiatives. Work within a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes for patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital's renowned Transplant Services, offering rotating 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday with weekends and holidays included.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or from a Physician Assistant program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland
  • Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or a related field
  • Physician Assistants with inpatient experience
