Job Summary

Coordinate and manage pre/post-transplant patient care while hospitalized, working with surgeons, physicians, and nurses to ensure thorough evaluation processes. Provide patient education on transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care for liver, kidney, and pancreas recipients. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services. Rotating 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, including weekends and holidays. Requires a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program, current Maryland license, and Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or from a Physician Assistant program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland
  • Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or a related field preferred, but not mandatory
  • Physician Assistants with inpatient experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
