Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide preventive care including vaccinations, screenings, and health education while managing an assigned patient panel. Perform procedures such as excisions, biopsies, and laceration repairs in accordance with clinical privileges. Collaborate with supervising physicians on complex cases and assist in training new clinicians. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with federal grants, OSHA, and state board policies. Work Monday through Friday with 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of administrative time.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Kansas
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Current and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years of previous clinical work experience
- Prior experience in a Community Health Center or FQHC
- Bilingual abilities
