Nurse Practitioner, Hospital Medicine

Part-time Hospital Medicine NP/PA position at Cooley Dickinson Main Campus (30 Locust St, Northampton, MA) joining a collaborative team to provide high-quality inpatient care. Primary duties include morning rounds, cross-coverage for admissions, and serving as a first responder for rapid assessments. Work a day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with shared weekend and holiday coverage. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluations (H&P), coordinating care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, documenting progress notes, performing appropriate procedures within privileges, managing discharges and follow-up, educating patients and families, triage/transfer coordination, and ensuring smooth transitions of care. Requires Master’s Degree and current NP or PA license; experience as a licensed NP is strongly preferred. Inpatient/ambulatory care capabilities, order interpretation, prescription writing, and EPIC EMR experience are relevant to the role.
