Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner Supervisor in Neonatal Medicine leading clinical coverage in a Level IV NICU, collaborating with neonatologists, and directing education for residents and NNPs. Responsibilities include providing patient care on a 38-bed unit, performing and teaching high-level procedures (intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management), instructing NRP, and coordinating scheduling and performance evaluations. The role supports a resident/attending/NNP team in an academic setting, with scope that includes protocol development and implementation in partnership with leadership, and rotating day/night/weekend shifts at Banner- University Medical Center Tucson.
Required Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner certification by State Board of Nursing with prescribing privileges through the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- Experience: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor with supervisory experience (3 years)
