Job Summary
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor in an academic Level IV NICU setting seeking an experienced NP with supervisory experience to lead the NNP/attending team and provide clinical coverage, teaching, and protocol development in collaboration with neonatologists and residents. Responsibilities include high‐risk deliveries involvement, performing procedures (intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management), NRP instruction, resident and staff education, scheduling and performance evaluations, and implementing care protocols under the Medical Director and division leadership in Banner University Medical Center Tucson. Rotating shifts (days/nights/weekends) with no on-call, 1.0 FTE, main location in Tucson, AZ, with additional facility in Oro Valley, AZ. Qualifications include a current Nurse Practitioner certification with prescribing privileges in Arizona and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in neonatal/neonatal-perinatal care. Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing with prescribing privileges
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience
- 3 years supervisory experience
- RN/NP licensure in Arizona
- Eligibility for practice in hospital-based academic setting
- NRP instructor certification or capability to teach NRP
