Job Summary
Diagnose health conditions, treat chronic and infectious diseases, and prescribe medications for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. Order and study diagnostic tests including blood work and X-rays, maintain accurate records, and oversee patients' overall health. Propose treatments, inform patients about their conditions and prescribed medications, and act as the primary point of contact for emergencies and routine visits. Requires a Master's degree, state license, and board certification. Full-time role with monthly performance-based bonuses, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401k, and a comprehensive 3-week paid training program with clinical mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college/university
- State professional Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification Required
- DEA/Controlled Substance License
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with on-site staff
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare related software
- Experience in one of these Nurse Practitioner specialties: gerontology, acute care, cardiology, internal medicine, or endocrinology
- Effective communication skills with the geriatric or Medicare population
Desired Qualifications
- Nursing experience in ICU/ER/SNF a plus
