Job Summary
Plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care settings while traveling daily to various facilities. Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses, interpret diagnostic tests, and refer to physicians for follow-up. Perform bedside procedures including debridement using sharp, enzymatic, or surgical methods, and manage topical wound care products. Educate patients and primary care physicians on current wound management practices. Work with the medical director to improve healing outcomes and write prescriptions. Requires a master's degree, active APRN license, and Covid vaccination. Full-time day shift Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or on-call. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of Covid vaccination
- Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state
- Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program
- Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts
- Master's degree of Nursing
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to stand and walk for 4+ hours
- Able to lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents
- Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions
- Pushing/Pulling 70+ pounds when administering patient care
- Bending/squatting/kneeling/twisting when administering patient care
- Depth perception when performing medical procedures
- Will travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within your local area
- The position requires Covid vaccination
