Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner with GYN/Menopause focus provides direct patient care including taking histories, performing exams, developing and communicating plans of care, conducting rounds, and ordering and interpreting labs and tests. Collaborates with physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure high-quality patient care, discharges patients with clear instructions, and participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities. Requires a Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program, NYS NP and RN licensure, a collaborative practice agreement or attestation, and current BLS certification. Preferred Women’s Health experience. Location: Stony Brook, NY (US).
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required
- Has a collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education OR collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015
- Current BLS certification, required
