Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner provides ambulatory breast care services in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, including health histories, risk assessment, cancer screening, and comprehensive breast care. Responsibilities include assessing, managing, and treating benign and malignant breast conditions; interpreting imaging (ultrasound, mammogram, MRI) with breast radiology colleagues; coordinating genetic testing and counseling per NCCN guidelines; developing and following care plans with appropriate follow-up; patient and family education and emotional support; referral for further care as indicated; adhering to guidelines for clinical decision making; prescribing medications for breast care; performing routine office-based procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, punch biopsies, wound care); maintaining documentation in compliance with laws and policies; participating in quality improvement and utilization activities; and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include NP program completion, NJ NP license and CPR, DEA and CDS licensure in NJ, and 2–4 years related experience preferred. The role requires strong planning, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to high standards and patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current NJ state NP license and CPR certification
- DEA licensure in NJ
- CDS licensure in NJ
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent preferred but not required
