Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner Fellow providing mentored, post-graduate clinical care within the SNAPT Fellowship program; transitions after 12 months to traditional practice with potential ongoing employment. Responsibilities include applying diagnostic testing appropriately, delivering patient-centered care with psychosocial considerations, maintaining comprehensive documentation, engaging patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team. Travel among Chase Brexton Health Services clinics is required. Qualifications include recent NP program graduate with primary care adult or family certification (or eligibility), Maryland licensure and clinical certification with DEA/CDS eligibility, and strong communication and teamwork skills; experience in community health, gender-affirming care, HIV medicine, and diverse environments is preferred. Must be able to work in a clinical/office setting with travel between clinics and meet FTCA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (within 2 years) of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Primary Care Adult or Family certification, or eligibility for certification prior to start of Fellowship
- Maryland licensure and clinical certification, eligibility for DEA and Maryland CDS
- Interest in and/or experience in community health settings
- Interest in and/or experience in gender affirming care, HIV medicine, sexual health
- Experience working in a diverse environment
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
- Excellent communication and team skills required
