Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner Fellow role providing mentored clinical care as part of the SNAPT Fellowship, with a 12-month post-graduate training period leading to a Nurse Practitioner position and potential continuation into a second year. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment, documentation, patient engagement, and collaboration with preceptors/mentors to support professional development. Requires Maryland NP licensure and eligibility for DEA/CDS, prior family or primary care certification, and experience in community health, gender-affirming care, HIV medicine, and working with diverse teams. Travel between Chase Brexton Health Services clinics in Baltimore, MD is required; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (within 2 years) of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Primary Care Adult or Family certification, or eligibility for certification prior to start of Fellowship
- Maryland licensure and clinical certification, eligibility for DEA and Maryland CDS
- Interest in and/or experience in community health settings
- Interest in and/or experience in gender affirming care, HIV medicine, sexual health
- Experience working in a diverse environment
- Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
- Excellent communication and team skills required.
