Job Summary
Join Geisinger Pottsville as an experienced Nurse Practitioner in our Primary Care team. The role emphasizes extended appointment times (40 minutes for medically complex patients, 20 minutes for average/acute visits) within a collaborative care model that includes a robust support team (pharmacists, care managers, coding educators, and a centralized prescription refill team) and Epic EMR with ambient dictation. Opportunities include teaching and precepting, involvement in continuing medical education and professional development, and involvement with Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care clinics and eVisit/patient portal access. Competitive salary with recruitment incentives up to $20,000 (30-month obligation) at select clinics, and benefits that cover relocation assistance, liability coverage, and full-time/part-time options. The successful candidate will be an Advanced Practitioner able to see patients across age ranges from pediatric to geriatric, hold a PA license, NCCPA certification or eligibility, and meet state licensure requirements; Master’s degree required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- NCCPA certification or eligibility
- Pennsylvania State licensure as Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
- Basic Life Support Certification
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification (or eligible)
- ARC-PA approved PA program
- Epic EMR experience (preferred)
- Care management knowledge
- Clinical policies and standards
- Patient assessment and care
- Patient safety
- Health information documentation
- License/Certification: NP, RN (PA)
