Job Summary
Provide full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services, including general screening, medical examinations, immunizations, and diagnosis/treatment of acute, chronic, and minor trauma conditions within accepted protocols. Technically direct and teach other staff through evidenced-based educational lectures and in-service training while promoting preventive care and health maintenance via formal and individual counseling. Collaborate with diverse healthcare teams to inform plans of action and ensure universal precautions are used for all patient encounters. Attend staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement. Work Mon-Fri, 0730-1630 at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson CO, with bi-weekly pay of $66.5/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties)
- One year of experience within the last two years in a primary care provider role seeing patients of all ages
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse
