Job Summary
Conduct complete medical histories, perform physical exams, and establish presumptive diagnoses for patients of all age groups. Administer injections, immunizations, medications, and wound sutures while accurately documenting all encounters and data. Review patient records to determine diagnostic and therapeutic plans, order laboratory procedures, and provide treatment instructions. Maintain professional grooming and confidentiality standards while fostering positive relationships across the team. Work in a fast-paced urgent care or emergency medicine setting, addressing patient concerns promptly and utilizing established clinical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as an APRN, NP, or PA (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret instructions and apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios
- Competency in relevant medical calculations
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress or emergency situations and during irregular hours
- Willingness to work in settings involving exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
