Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical exams while administering injections, immunizations, medications, and wound sutures. Review patient records to establish diagnoses, order diagnostic procedures, and provide treatment instructions and education. Document all encounters accurately, maintain patient confidentiality, and collaborate with supervising physicians using established guidelines. Address patient concerns promptly, perform minor procedures for all age groups, and participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions. Work in a fast-paced urgent care or primary care setting, adhering to strict HIPAA standards and working extended hours and alternate weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as an APRN, NP, or PA (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret instructions and apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios
- Competency in relevant medical calculations
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress or emergency situations and during irregular hours
- Willingness to work in settings involving exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids

- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Compliance with HIPAA standards
