Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive dermatologic evaluations for nursing home residents, including full-body skin examinations and management of acute and chronic conditions such as pressure injuries, cellulitis, and fungal infections. Perform minor procedures including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and excisions while prescribing and monitoring topical and systemic medications. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and educate staff and families on skin care, infection control, and preventive measures. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires a Master's degree in Nursing, active New York State license, and one year of dermatology experience; salary range $130,000 - $150,000/yr with comprehensive benefits and visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Experience in the specialty for at least 1 year (DERM-cosmetic does not count)
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common dermatologic conditions such as pressure ulcers, skin infections, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancers, and fungal infections
- Skilled in performing skin biopsies and other minor dermatologic procedures
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks
- Strong clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to work collaboratively with nursing home staff, families, and other healthcare providers
