Job Summary
Provide patient services under physician supervision by obtaining histories, performing physical exams, prioritizing assessments, and delivering primary care through wellness visits and same-day urgent care. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses while prescribing medications within age-specific parameters and maintaining universal precautions. Educate patients and families, complete all necessary patient record documentation, and assist the Practice Manager in clinical skills guidance and training for staff. Maintain standard office and medical equipment usage while adhering to required vaccinations.
Required Qualifications
- Unrestricted active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Texas license
- 1 year FNP or PA Primary care work experience
- DEA Registration upon hiring
- Certain vaccinations
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to work in a noisy or distracting environment
- Must be able to work near others, usually within a few feet
- Must be able to work with patient elements
- Must be able to use standard office and medical equipment
- Must be able to maintain standard universal precautions
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated computer skills with EMR experience
