Job Summary
Contract Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Document patient encounters and progress in EMR, advise patients on preventative care, ensure quality of tests, and interpret results (e.g., PFTs, chest X-rays, ABIs, EKGs). Refer patients for further testing as needed and relay information between clinics and physicians. Work closely with the clinical team for ongoing health assessment initiatives during a 12–24 week contract period. Requires MSN or DNP and national certification (ANCC or AANPCB) plus state NP licensure. Targets adult and geriatric populations; strong clinical, communication, and multitasking skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- National certification by ANCC or AANPCB
- State NP licensure
- Adult and Geriatric patient population experience
- Excellent judgment and discretion
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with positive attitude
- Strong clinical skills across a wide range of medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
