Job Summary
Conduct outpatient medication-assisted treatment for patients recovering from opioid and illicit substance addictions. Perform comprehensive physical examinations, manage ongoing treatment plans, and sign medical orders while ensuring all evaluations and histories are complete before initial dosing. Maintain patient case management for chronic health conditions, accurately complete same-day clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record, and facilitate referrals for continuum of care. Collaborate with the Medical Director to meet healthcare needs and educate patients and staff on medication actions, side effects, and proper health habits. Work Monday through Wednesday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm in a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in state of employment
- Unrestricted DEA license
- CPR Certification Required
- First Aid Certification Required
- Ability to complete a valid fingerprint clearance and tuberculosis test
- Provide proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) and Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccinations
- Have a current flu vaccination or be willing to receive one
Desired Qualifications
- Board Certified in Psychiatry preferred but not required
- Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation and Opioid treatment preferred
- Experience documenting into an electronic medical record
- Has experience working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals
- Is excited to work in an outpatient setting, much like a doctor's office or behavioral health clinic
- Enjoys a consistent, full-time schedule
- Bring sensitivity to the needs of those who are chemically dependent
