Job Summary
Evaluate physical and psychosocial health status through comprehensive history, physical examination, and diagnostic instruments to diagnose patient health issues. Direct nursing, medical, and clerical personnel while planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Consult with patients, support systems, and the health care team to provide acute and ongoing care or referrals. Develop teaching plans and counsel individuals, families, and groups on health maintenance. Initiate accurate records, legal documents, and care reports. Conduct research, analyze health needs, and design programs for at-risk groups. Participate in policy analysis, service evaluation, and health care delivery system improvements. Incorporate the KP Nursing Vision, Model, and Values throughout practice.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in nursing in relevant field of specialty
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- Nurse Practitioner National Certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in conflict resolution
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in counseling
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in problem solving
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in decision making
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral communication
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in written communication
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in interpersonal relations
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in change management
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in results orientation
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in teamwork
Desired Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner experience in specialty area
- Demonstrated knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications
- Valid Hawaii APRN Recognition with Prescriptive Authority (must meet education requirement(s) for Hawaii state APRN prescriptive authority)
