Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner – Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments, developing individualized treatment plans with the care team, managing and optimizing psychotropic medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with families to support continuity of care. Work within a multidisciplinary team focused on safety, quality, and patient-centered treatment to stabilize and support youth (ages 5–17) in an inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner with PMHNP certification (preferred)
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; State Board licensure; DEA number; CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred in behavioral health/psychiatry
- Ability to manage and monitor psychotropic medications in acute behavioral health
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment
