Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology collaborates with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service. Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Manages/increases efficiency of inpatient cardiology, outpatient cardiology clinic, cardiac labs, and outreach cardiology clinics. Orders testing as needed and remains proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication within NP scope. Requires a Master's NP program completion and eligibility for PA licensure; relocation available for qualified candidates. 10-hour day shifts are optional. Skills include clinical policies and standards, patient assessment and care, care management, patient safety, health information documentation, and patient rights and safety.
