Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology for Geisinger Heart Institute. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients; autonomous patient evaluations, diagnoses, and follow-up care; managing inpatient and outpatient cardiology workflows, cardiac labs, and outreach clinics; ordering and interpreting tests and prescribing medications within NP scope; credentialed to practice with PA licensure in Pennsylvania; relaxation for qualified candidates. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Certification(s) via American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- BLS Certification
- License as Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
- Nurse Practitioner licensure eligibility in PA
- Certificate of completion from approved NP program or eligible for national certification for cardiology patient populations
