Job Summary
Conduct private preventive assessments via video conference, counseling patients on diabetes, heart attack, and stroke risks while screening for depression. Utilize the Electronic Medical Record to document consultations and create individualized action plans based on clinical guidelines. Refer patients to depression resources and employee carrier services tailored to their specific results. Engage patients actively in developing future health strategies that align with their personal needs. Maintain bilingual communication in English and Spanish while working from the Dallas office.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish - written and verbal communication
- Current TX RN license (Compact license required)
- Current (unencumbered) TX state license as APRN
- Must be willing to complete the paperwork to become licensed in at least 3-5 additional states in a short timeframe (usually 30 days)
- Current national certification as FNP, AGNP, or ANP
- Must provide availability and work (when offered) a minimum of 80 hours month
- At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care or Internal Medicine)
- Strong computer skills (Ability to type and interact with patient simultaneously)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to consult patients and keep them actively engaged
- Ability to stand or sit; talk and hear by headset; ability to type for the duration of each shift
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday's and Sunday's 8am - 3pm)
- Must be available for early morning and late evening shifts (7:00AM - 9:00PM Monday through Friday)
