Job Summary
Provides independent and collaborative primary and episodic care to patients, ensuring patient flow and quality care delivery. Performs assessments, diagnostic procedures, and interprets data, following regulations and guidelines. Prescribes medications and emphasizes health promotion through patient education. Requires board certification and state licensure as a nurse practitioner, along with DEA license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Board certified as a nurse practitioner with current state licensure.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- BLS certified.
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting.
- Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, families and Physician/Medical Providers.
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist.
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
