Nurse Practitioner at Foster Medical

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner on a Trauma team in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting, providing trauma and acute general surgery care with opportunities to perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, manage patient care from evaluation through discharge, participate in education and research initiatives, and serve as first assist when needed. Responsibilities include trauma bay presence, comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering tests and consultations, performing chest tubes, central and arterial lines, laceration repairs, I&Ds, occasional intubations, discharge planning, and coordinating care with case management; role combines clinic and inpatient responsibilities with a four-ten-hour shift full-time schedule at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson.
